How to make the cross
Take three pieces of cedar, one
longer, two shorter, to shape the arms with rosemary,
rue (arruda), and celery. Place on each
arm, above and below the longest
part, a small mixture of cypress. Put in holy water for
three days and take out of the water at
midnight, saying the following
words like a prayer: "Cross of São Bartolomeu, by
virtue of the water in which you were
immersed and the plants and woods
of which you are formed, free me from the temptations of
the spirit of Evil, and bring me
the grace of the fortunate. In
the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy
Spirit. Amen. Repeat the words,
whispering, four times.
Kill a black cat and place a broad bean in each eye, one below the tail and
another in each ear. Then, bury it and water the grave everynight at midnight until the broad beans, after sprouting, are ripe. Cut off the
beans. After cutting, take the beans home and put them into your mouth one by
one. When, you think you are invisible, it is because the bean in your mouth
has the magical property. So, if you want to go into any place without being
seen, put the magic bean in your mouth.
Observations on using this
magic!
When you are watering the broad
beans many ghosts will appear to frighten you so that
you won't carry out the magic until the end. The reason is simple: it is
because the demon has envy of whoever is going to use
this magic, without giving himself to it heart and soul, like the witches, who he
calls women of virtue. We ask that you be not afraid,
since he will not do you any harm, and for this it is good, before
anything, to make the sign of the cross.
Spell of the black
cat's bone
Cook the body of a black cat in
boiling water with white seeds and wood from the willow
until the meat is loosened from the bones. Strain the bones in a linen cloth
and, in front of the mirror, place the bones, one by one
in your mouth, until you find that you have the magic to make you become
invisible. Keep the bone with the magic property and,
if you want to go somewhere without being seen, place the bone in your
mouth.
Another spell of the
black cat for doing evil
To get vengeance on an enemy, you
should proceed in this way: take a black cat and, after
tying it four paws with a cord of esparto grass (used to
make rugs), take it to a crossroads at night and say:
"I, (say your name), on behalf of All Mighty God, order
the demon to appear here under the blessed yoke of
obedience and superior laws. Lucifer, Satan, I order
you to go into the body of this person that I want to do
evil to and do not leave until I order so, and help me
with anything I ask you to during my life", (here you
must say what you wish to be done to the enemy). "Oh
great Lucifer, imperor of all that is hell, I seize you
and tie you to the body of (say the name of the enemy),
just as I have seized this cat. After you do everything
that I want, I offer you this cat; I will bring it here
when everything is ready."
After the demon does what has been asked, you should go
to the place where he
was summoned and say twice: "Lucifer, Lucifer,
here you have what I promised" - with these words,
release the cat.
Write on a virgin piece of paper
with your own blood: "I, with the blood from my little
finger, write this to Lucifer, so
that he will do everything I want
in life, and if this does not happen, I will no longer
belong to him" - then you should sign
your name. Then you should write
the same text on the egg of a black hen, fertilized by
the cock of the same color. Then,
open a hole in the egg and let a
drop of blood from the small finger of your right hand
fall inside. Wrap the egg in cotton
and place it under a pile f manure
or under the black hen. From this egg will be born a
little devil, who should be kept inside
a silver box, with silver powder.
Every Saturday you should put in your baby finger from
your right hand for the little devil to
drink blood. Whoever is able to
possess the demon in this way will get everything he
wants in life.
About this spell, São Cipriano
warns us in his book: "Every son of God who gives his
soul to the demon will be at the same
time cursed because he who created
him and gave him the power of being was Our Lord Jesus
Christ.
When a black dog has died,
carefully take out its right eye. Then, place this eye
in a box and carry it in your pocket. When you
shake this little box to any dog,
he will follow the owner of the box wherever he may go,
even if the owner does not want so. The dog will go away when you make
three beckoning movements with the same box..
Make two cloth dolls, connecting
one to the other, tying them so that they appear to be
embracing; then put in five nails in the
following parts:
1st nail, in the head, going all
the way through, sayig the following: So and so (the
name of the person to whom you want to
do evil), I (say your name), nail
you and tie and stab your body, just as I stab, tie and
nail your figure.
2nd nail, in the chest, all the
way through, saying the following: So and so (the name
of the person to whom you want to do evil) I
swear to you, under the power of
Lucifer and Satan, that from now on you will not have an
hour of health.
3rd nail, in the stomach. So and
so, I swear to you, under the power of evil magic, that
from now on you will not have one
moment of peace.
4th nail, in the legs. So and so,
I swear to you, under the power of Maria Padilha, ( an
entity popular in spiritualism--see
more below) that from now on you
will be under this spell..
5th nail, in the feet. So and so,
I nail you and tie you from head to toe, by the power of
the socerer's magic. With this the
bewitched person will never have a
moment of good health.
Maria Padilha
- whose name means Queen of Fire, is an entity of
light that works for good. She lived a long time
ago in France, and was the madam of a house of
prostitution (Cabaré), all the men she had, in each
one of her incarnations, which were seven, are with
her in the spirit world. There is a prophecy that
says that in the year 2000 Maria Padilha, queen of
the queens, will step on the Orixás. The Orixás
will worship her since her mission is to convert the
man that she loves (Lucifer, angel of darkness) to
the world of light. They will enter the house of
God dressed in white. She will sit alongside Jesus
and he at the feet of Christ. Maria Padilha will
save 7000 souls and will give 7000 to the flames of
hell.
Unfortunately
for the above, there were two famous Maria Padillas:
one the heroine in an opera by Donizetti and a
historical figure who was one of the leaders of the
rebellion called Revolta de los Comuneros against
Charles V in Spain in the 16th century. Curiously,
the name ended up in Brazilian candomblé.
The four leaf clover has the same
magic properties as the seed of the fern. To use it
magic, proceed in the same way as was described with
the seed of the fern. Change only the
prayer, which is
the following: "I, creature of the Lord, redeemed
with his Most Holy Blood, which
Jesus Christ shed on the
Cross to save us from the fury of Satan, have a very
strong faith in the edifying
powers of Our Lord Jesus
Christ.. I order the demon to leave this place forever and I seize him and
hold him
fast in the raging sea, not forever, but until
I pick this four leaf clover; and as soon as I have picked it I free
you from your
prison. All of this by the power and
virtue of Our Lord Jesus Christ. Amen"
If the demon should appear at that
moment in which he has been invoked, you must send him
away and only them ask for
what you desire, and he will do
everything so that he is not imprisoned. At the end,
you must keep the clover and do
everything you want, as is written
in the book of São Cipriano.
Take the bone marrow of a foot of
a black dog, fill up a wooden needle case with it. Then,
the needle case should be wrapped
up in a piece of red velvet and
sewn up. Making a hole in the mattress where the couple
sleeps, insert the needle case, but
making sure that it does not
disturb at night. Once done, the woman should become
very kind and obedient with the husband, agreeing to all
his desires, and the husband will remain faithful to her.
Take the heart of a dove and the
head of a toad which, after they are dried out and
reduced to powder, should be used to fill a
cloth bag, adding a little bit of
musk to the mixture. A small hole should be made.Place the bag under the pillow of
the woman (the original says "a mulher") when she is
sleeping. After fifteen minutes she will begin to speak in her sleep saying
everything she has done or intends to do. As soon as the person stops
speaking, little by little take out the little bag from
under the pillow, in order not to expose the person to a
cerebral fever, which could cause her death.
Take the head and the feet of a
toad, cut off when it is alive, on a Friday, just after
the Full Moon of the month of September;
these pieces of the toad must be
left soaking in willow oil for 21 days, then they must
be taken out at the 12th stroke of midnight,
leaving them exposed for three
consecutive nights to the beams of the moon. The pieces
must then be ground up in a clay pot
that has never been used, mixing them
after with the earth from the cemetery, from the place
where a member of the family of the person who is receiving the spell has
been buried.The person who receives this spell
can be sure that the spirit of the dead family member
will watch out for him in all the things he sets out to do and will never lose
sight of his interests.
You should study, before anything,
the character and the personality of the woman that you
want to obtain. Then, take the heart of a little virgin
dove and make a snake swallow it. This snake will
surely die in a short time. Then take its head and dry
it out over a low fire, on an iron grill. Then, it will
be reduced to powder, and you add some drops of
laudanum. When you want to use this recipe, rub a
little of the powder on your hands.
The woman must get from the man
she has chosen an object of silver that he has
used for
at least 24 hours, like a safety pin, a medal, a
coin, or an earring. With the silver in one
of her
hands, the woman will offer him in the other hand a chalice of wine where
she has added a drop
the size of a grain of corn, with
the following composition: an eel's head, a pinch of hemp seeds, and
two
drops of laudanum. As soon as the man has drunk
from the chalice of wine, he will love the woman who has
given it to
him.
Another recipe is for the woman to
give the chosen man a cup of chocolate, to which she
must add two pinches of powdered
cinnamon, five spikes of clove,
ten grams of vanilla, and a pinch of ground nutmeg.
After it is ready, take out the cloves and
add two drops of Spanish fly
(cantharides). To eat it is better to serve a sweet
cake. The chocolate can be substituted by coffee,
but in this case the coffee must be
prepared with anise, adding later a drop of Spanish fly.
If the woman is afraid that the
man will get away, and wants to keep him in love for a
long time, she must repeat this medicine
every two weeks. Iin the meantime,
she should invite him to have dinner serving:
For lunch, an omelette preprared
like this:
Beat the eggs; then throw them down your naked back,
letting them run down to the bottom where the back ends.
Then fry them and serve them hot.
For dinner grind the meat for
meatballs and mix in the beaten eggs. Before taking the
balls to the stove pass them, one by one,
on your sweaty
body (corpo suado), breasts, back and stomach, letting
them stay longer under your armpits.
This magic, as taught by São
Cipriano, must be done by taking a bottle with a wide
opening, filled with olive oil. Tie the bottle
to a grape vine so that a bunch of
grapes begins to grow inside the bottle. You must wait
for the grapes to grow and ripen so
that you can cut the bunch and
free the bottle from the vine.
These are the properties of this
oil and grapes that remain inside the bottle:
1. When you light a lamp with the oil you
will be able to see the bushes of the place where the
bunch grew, including birds, plan and
people that where nearby when the bunch was cut. As
soon as the light is put out, everything will disappear.
2. The oil has the virtue of curing any new
or old wound, putting in on top together with linen
string;
3. With
this oil you can make souls come out of purgatory and
talk to whoever you call, at the door of the church at
midnight. To do this, you must light a light
with the oil and say: "I, by the power of this light,
order the souls in purgatory, those whose bodies have been buried in this
place", to come to speak to me, Immediately, the souls
will appear.
About the great Book of St. Cyprian
The Great Book of Saint Cyprian
is a book that deals with the occult. The book is
written in Portuguese and Spanish and has been published
in several editions with varying titles. Although the
book refers to Saint Cyprian, the Cyprian referred to is
without doubt the legendary sorcerer and later Christian
convert, bishop, and saint, Cyprian of Antioch who was
martyred together with Justina. The actual book appeared
centuries after his death and could not possibly have
been written by him. In fact the first known edition
came out in 1849. According to the raven "it was the
Book of Saint Cyprian, taken from a manuscript. Made by
the Saint himself, who teaches how to undo all the
spells made by the Moors in this Kingdom of Portugal,
and also how to find the places where riches can be
found."
The book was taken from Portugal
to Brazil and became widely used in popular religion,
especially Umbanda and Candomble. Many consider it a sin
to possess it or even to touch it. Some owners of book
shops keep it chained inside a box. In Portugal, it is
believed that reading the book back to front will
attract the Devil.
